Annie Besant- Activist for Women's rights. She wrote for the National  Informer.
Leon Sullivan- Created jobs for young blacks. Born in Charleston, WV in 1922.
Ansel Adams- Born February 20, 1902. Best known for his photography.
Susan B. Anthony- Fought to end slavery and women's rights.
Indira Gandhi- Framed for infraction. Made agreement with Pakistan.
Rachel Carson- Marine biologist. Died of breast cancer in 1964.
Caesar Chavez- Latino civil rights activist.
Roger Baldwin- Died at 97. Caused by heart attack.
Eva Peron- From Argentina. Died from cancer
Akbar the Great- Ruled India at age 14. Strong military leader.
Aung San Suu Kyi- Father started Burmese military. 
Jane Adams- Women's rights activist.
John Muir- Wilderness explorer
Deganawida- Ended cannibalism in warring tribes
W.E.B. Dubois- Founded NAACP.
Jacques Cousteau-  Invented the aqualung. Explored undersea
Ida B. Wells- Born into slavery. Parents died of yellow fever
