10/22/13 assignment

Origins  (to 1800)

Antifederalists: They didn't t to ratify the Constitution. They targeted mainly yeomen farmers, as well as ordinary Americans.

Federalists: They believed in a strong, central government. The group mostly targeted by this party were supporters of the British.
 
 1800-1860
 
Democrats: They believe in a strong-centralized government with the National Bank. They targeted the wealthy and higher class.
 
Whigs: They believed that the Democratic party was doing wrong the whole of their control. They usually targeted the working class and the loyalists.
 
1860-1932
 
Democrats:  They had beliefs of a strong government and gained their support from the upper class and the wealthy.
 
Republicans: Their beliefs were of support of the working class and the nations banks. They usually targeted the lower class and farming communities.
 
1932-1968
 
Democrats: They beat the Republicans to take back the government to make it even stronger. Their targeted group was the upper class and the wealthy liberals.
 
Republicans: They had the strong central power style of government. They gained support from the lower and working class citizens.
